Soapmaking 101  with Roe
NEW DATE: Sunday March 1st, from 2-4pm

I will take you through everything  you need to know to safely make a batch of cold process soap from scratch. You will learn what equipment you need and all the steps from mixing your lye safely, combining your oils, fragrances, colors,  preparing your mold, to setting, curing, cutting and wrapping your finished bar. You will know how soap calculators and fragrance calculators work so you can customize your own recipes. Since the soap we mix will take a day to set,  I will bring a pre-made  soap log for all of us to  cut and wrap,  rounding up the class. You will go home with a bar of soap from the class and my own tried and true formula for organic soap.

Yogurt is good AND good for you, but not when it comes packed with all sorts of sugar, corn syrup, artificial flavors, thickeners, preservatives, emulsifiers, and who knows what else that you find in those little plastic cartons. Luckily, pure yogurt (milk and culture only) is easy to make at home. In this hands-on class you will learn not just how to make yogurt, but  many of the amazing, creative, and delicious ways that yogurt can be used.
